I'm older than dirt, almost finished a PHD but decided that's not what I wanted to do, am working on my fourth book-a sequel. Alice Orr was one of my first mentors and I value her friendship to this day. Basically, my motivation was utter and complete boredom, so I had to create something to fill the void. Writing and characters did just that--now I love it.
