My name is Cassandra Lokker, and I am the author of BEYOND THE FURY and ST. CROIX CHRONICLES, two works of historical fiction set in western Wisconsin. In May 2011, I will be releasing my new novel THE PROMISE, a coming-to-faith story set in modern-day California.
Background
Information
My writing is mainly influenced by the books I read. I love to read historical and contemporary fiction, and Christian fiction is also a core influence. Some of my favorite writers are Michael Phillips, Angela Hunt, Karen Kingsbury, and Tracie Peterson. I began writing at a very early age, but it wasn't until college that I truly became serious about my writing. I majored in English:Writing and graduated from Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa. I later continued my education with a Masters in Ministry Leadership from Crown College upon graduating in March of 2011. My books, BEYOND THE FURY and ST. Accomplishments
BEYOND THE FURY was published by Infinity Publishing in July 2007, and its publication was later followed by ST. CROIX CHRONICLES in October of 2008. In addition, I have won various songwriting and poetry competitions.
