My writing is mainly influenced by the books I read. I love to read historical and contemporary fiction, and Christian fiction is also a core influence. Some of my favorite writers are Michael Phillips, Angela Hunt, Karen Kingsbury, and Tracie Peterson. I began writing at a very early age, but it wasn't until college that I truly became serious about my writing. I majored in English:Writing and graduated from Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa.
