Following retirement from Christian ministry/missions, I became more involved investigating spiritual/mystical and paranormal topics. Most of my main fan website (www.facebook.com/coldhardcomedy) is dedicated to such areas, aswell as Spiritual enlightenment, poetry & other random blogs. Some of my major influences include: Rod Serling, John & Lorraine Warren. Raymond Moody, George Noory, Whitley Streiber, Jim Morrison, Maya Angelou, Ronnie James DIO, etc... My favorite fiction writers include: J.D. Salinger, Norman Mailer, Richard Laymon, Michael Slade, Stephen King and also many friends I've read & established as penpals/friends here on Authors Den. I have been blessed to travel throughout most of the United States, Paris and Israel and currently set the goal of working on a new piece of fiction each year to make available to my readers in ebook form/all those cool, whacky electronic gizmos and Nooks/ereaders that I personally never use nor understand, yet do affectively reach a worldwide audience. During my vacation time (which is rare), I enjoy Summers in Eastern Maine(Bangor/ Belfast area) and then catch a couple of mid-season Notre Dame football games back in my hometown of South Bend Indiana before spending winters hibernating in near tropical Williamsburg Virginia. Back when growing up in both Chicago & South Bend Indiana, my mind became fascinated and impressioned upon by the likes of Rod Serling, Leonard Nemoy's 'In Search Of', KISS, Notre Dame Football, Woody Allen films, DR. WHO, Bozo The Clown, Chicago Cubs Baseball, John Cougar-Mellencamp, 60 Minutes, Welcome Back Kotter, David Letterman, Doctor Demento and dozens of 1980's coming of age movies such as "The Outsiders", "Less Than Zero", "Fast Times At Ridgemont High", "Tex", "Vision Quest", "Say Anything", "The Last American Virgin", "Saint Elmo's Fire", "Footloose", "Sixteen Candles", etc...
I finished my last two years of High School at Lafayette in Williamsburg Virginia (known for spawning NFL Football greats Lawrence Taylor, Ron Springs & Mel Blount). I pretty much went through my hippie/metal phase over 2 decades ago during High School while working full-time nights year-round for 5 years at popular 4-star dining Berret's Seafood Restaurant. Had ALOT of Rocking times, fast times, psychotic flashes of inspration, sex and saw practically EVERY 80's metal band in concert between 1985 & 1989.
STAY YOUNG as long as you feel vibrant & challenging. Dreams DO COME true & by the stroke of the pen, alongside creativity, we can ALL share many journeys, enlightenment & entertainment.
