As a voracious lifelong reader, it's only natural that I eventually became a writer as well. And, yes, I'm a wordy bastard who believes good fiction should be good escapism, too. It should evoke vivid mental images that take the reader to another place and time, if only for a little while, and that often requires more words than modern life wants to allow. But sometimes, it's worth taking the extra effort to spend with those words !
