I was born at Abia State, Nigeria,into a devoted Christian family where family, home and discipline formed part of our daily life. I went to a public school where work & discipline formed part of the school time table. I had periods of joy and pain but I survived. My mother played a major influence by insisting and controlling my youthful exuberance. My father blew the final whistle. On some nights my mother rolled out some wonderful stories during the moonlight period that are introduced in my poems and books.
On education, after my first degree, I taught for a while and later went to Europe. Though live in Spain I have also lived in other parts of Europe, especially Sweden and Denmark while participating in my Master Erasmus IT Program. My second time of residing in Sweden was when I gained admission into a Doctorate program (PhD) which led me to conduct interviews and also distribute my structured questionnaires in Malmo, Goteborg and Skane region of Sweden. The PhD is a comparative study of international and national legislative instruments adopted for economic and social protection... in Spain, Sweden and United Kingom.
I hereby thank my supervisors and mentors like Professor Jonas A., Professor Frykman, P.,& Professor Lundberg A. We visited many Scandinavian countries, cities, beaches and bars and did all the things we cannot talk about here.
Though I live in Valencia I have traveled to many countries for academic and personal reasons.

However, whenever I enter my own country I feel like a foreigner in the first two weeks. This is a confirmation that some theories of migration are real. I still believe that it's not because my blood is clashing between cold and hot weather but because many events have changed the landscape and that I have lost the old friends who exchanged hulabalo with me during that time? My hope is to utilize my experience to enriching new ideas and the books I publish. Aluta continua.

Bases:
Welfare systems are originally established to bring more social equality especially for less privileged and vulnerable people. However, some politicians and policy maker have designed other ways to hijack welfare in collaboration with capitalists. Therefore, in recent years it has become difficult to serve the interest of the youth and public interest.
Social services to the disadvantaged people or less prevelaged or the immigrants are less, precarious or absent. The need to investigate how policies are implemented and their impact become imparative. I intend to contribute to the scarcity of knowledge and to peoples´ needs especially the vulnerable who need social care. This is also predicated on the view that some people are wallowing in abject deprivation, destitution and discrimination. This youthful group may be the future generation on hold. Some authors believe that States are exploited and possessed by pervasive corrupt politicians, left-wing globalization proponents. The result is massive debt burden and administrative prejudice.

This PhD has ended with the best qualification and it´s is my humble contribution to the search for lnowledge in international relations and diplomacy, intercultural relations, EU projects, Youth protection, immigrant protection, Migration Boards, Utility of Human resource and development, social sciences and to Humanity - aluta contnua

So, lets see what I am doing really.

A SHORT PROFILE:

The author, Dr. Onuoha, Ekeoma O. Abrahams, Author of the novel, "Possessive Possession", obtained his PhD at the University of Valencia. He obtained a two years MASTER of philosophy at the Faculty of Psychology, University of Valencia, where he obtained a First Class.

At the University of Malmö, Sweden, Ekeoma meticulously realized the European Erasmus Mundus IT project on Citizenship, Legal protection and Migration. His contact with four Seniour Lecturers and Professors from Canada, Germany & Sweden changed his perception on global socio-economic issues.

Professor MICHEAL Spang, a Human Right Specialist at Malmo Universuty whom I still owe more thanks organised more than ten round table talks where we debated and ouline the topic. After presenting some papers and coordinating several seminars in Amsterdam, Malmö and Valencia, Dr. Onuoha Ekeoma went into the Doctoral program that deepened our knowledge on the contested issues relating to effective Legal Protection according to international treaties, Constitutions, the UNCRC, UNHCR, UNHRC and EU Directives and Conventions. As indicated earlier, the PhD is a comparative study on Spain, Sweden, France and United Kingdom with examples from USA, Canada and Australia.

For this reason, Dr. Onuoha constructed structured questionnaires using scientifically tested and acceptable models and tested Scales for assessment. This helped to critically assess social work's implementation of legal instruments and their impact on insiders and outsiders.
Dr. Onuoha´s doctoral dissertation was directed by Professor Dr. José González Such and Professor Dr. Maria Jesus Perales Montolío, University of Valencia and in Sweden by Dr. Jonas Alwall, University of Malmo. Dr. Onuoha participated in another Post Doctoral Seminar - Series in Malmo University directed by Professor Povrzanovic Frykman.

Dr. Onuoha Ekeoma´s research interests are to examine how Social Workers implement Legal instruments for protection and integration in European Member states like: France, Spain, Sweden and United Kingdom.

Ekeoma is interested in a number of Population issues relating to:
Labor market, interbational displacement, legislation, population movement, urbanization, city scale and resources.
Development issues in Health, housing, war and conflict, refugee reintegration.
Unaccompanied minors and youth development, community development, social change, law and identity transformation and dual citizenship.

MY EXPERIENCES IN THIS AREA

1. From 1/2011 to 6/2011, I interviewed top officials of Swedish Migration Board (Migrationsverket) and Malmo Local Council with the supervision of Professor Jonas Alwall and four social workers. I also studied University of Harvard Manual for social workers as it affects social integration and intervention manual as it affects unaccompanied minors´ registration in Sweden.

2. I did ethnographic survey on children seeking asylum that enabled me to interview the Operations Managers (Verksamhetschef) of Blincap Attendo Transit Centers, Human Rights specialists. Calculated migrants who took asylum, accepted, rejected, appealed, returned or deported from 2005 to 2010 for Sweden and United Kingdom. I compared the number of documented and undocumented unaccompanied minors.

3. On 03/2011 – 06/2011, I also participated in GPS post-doctoral research titled: “Ethnographic fieldwork on objects and integration of ethnic Slavs” supervised by Professor Maja P. Fryckman, (Global Political Studies), Malmo University, Sweden.
4. My conference experiences include participation in University of Valencia Summer School conferences in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 that draw Speakers from all continents, including famous Alejandro Portes, a Princeton Sociologist, Professor Emmanuel of University of Lille, France, Professor Bozman of University of Geneva, and the emeritus professor Edelia.
5. As we can see below, on 19/6/12, I presented another paper titled: “Impact of integration policy on immigrant youths and European youths”, sponsored by European Union program on “Youths in Action”. EU/Spanish Ministry of Justice and attended by 15 NGO representatives from EU, including Sweden, Italy, Greece, France, Germany, United Kingdom and Ireland.

6. On 24/3/11, I presented a Paper and a book along with another Senior Professor Arjang at a Seminar at Gåddan Hall 304, Malmo University, Sweden. Theme: “Africa writer’s literary works for integration in Europe”
7. I did a specific “Integration project on street children” in Nazaret, Valencia suburb with three other persons, titled: “Intervention in Education of Gypsies’ children” with (budget proposal) which changed to reality.
8. In 14/3/2006, I presented an MBA paper titled: “Management of Low Cost Airlines in Europe” at San Pablo Business School, (CEU) Valencia. Spain.
9. 15/05/2014, I presented a project on ethnographic study for Räddnings Mission, Malmö, an International Swedish church. The project is titled: “Ethnographic fieldwork on integration of documented and undocumented immigrants in Räddnings Mission, Malmo”.
