I was born at Abia State, Nigeria,into a devoted Christian family where family, home and discipline formed part of our daily life. I went to a public school where work & discipline formed part of the school time table. I had periods of joy and pain but I survived. My mother played a major influence by insisting and controlling my youthful exuberance. My father blew the final whistle. On some nights my mother rolled out some wonderful stories during the moonlight period that are introduced in my poems and books.
