I was born and raised in Singapore. My mother tongue is Malay, my first language at school, English. I graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1983 and obtained a diploma in writing and journalism from The Writing School in 1984. I am as much a reader as I am a writer. I enjoy both fiction and non-fiction. My favorite authors are Carl Sagan, Arthur C. Clarke, Isaac Asimov and Gerald Durell, but I read widely, and do not restrict myself to simply the works of these authors. My favorite actor is Masumi Okada, and he was responsible for getting me started in writing. I first saw him in "The Space Giants" when I was ten years old. He acted as a journalist in the science-fiction series. There was very little publicity given to the show in Singapore then, and I wanted to remember the episodes. To emulate my favorite character in the series, I began recording each episode as I watched, and my earliest work is a partial collection of "The Space Giants" synopses. My first book, "Revenge of The Piqued Prankster: The Storytellers", is a book on scam-baiting and consists of a collection of email exchanges between some internet scammers and myself. It is written under the pen-name, "The Prankster". I believe that laughter is the best medicine, and agree with Gerald Durell that people will listen to someone better if that person makes them laugh. My first book reflects this philosophy of mine. I am currently working on my second book. I am a chameleon because of my diverse interests. My writings are not restricted to any particular topic or field. My works can be about anything, anyone, anywhere. For this reason, I write under many pen-names, each selected because of its relevance to the subject written under it. "The Chameleon" is my umbrella pseudonym. The only predictable aspect of my works is that they are unpredictable. The only identifiable feature of my writings is that they are unidentifiable as the work of one author. I am The Chameleon.......
