Growing up in the Northeast corner of Arkansas and near the mid-Sothern Missouri border, I grew to know some wonderful people who inspired many of my articles and books.  Arkansas and Missouri have some beautiful country but growing up poor, we even as youngsters had to work hard to survive.  Farm work is hard by any standards, but it makes you tough and helps you learn to cope with whatever life throws at you.  I left the farm as soon as I graduated high school in 1965 and never looked back---at least not until I had made a good life for myself and my family.  Now I look back and the memories can fill volumes.  I have two books historical fiction adventure novels published by American Book Publishing and write numerous articles and book reviews.   I started college late in life at Eastfield College in Mesquite, Texas.  Then finished at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas after moving back in the late eighties.  I have since retired and live in a very nice country home near Paragould, Arkansas.  I have five grandchildren and life is good. Won creative writing award in High School. Have won numerous article contests. Have written and published numerous book reviews for Book Pleasures. Published two books, started a third, and published many articles that can be found through any search engine. My first book AMOS JAKEY is on display at the Hemmingway-Pfifer Museum in Piggott, Arkansas.
