Dixon Wall Coulbourn is a retired electronics engineer.  He and Gail will have been married 54 years in August, 2012.  Gail is a retired English teacher.  They like to take hourlong hikes, (but only on days that end in "y"), swim, do crossword puzzles and jumbles.  They are both interested in words and language.  Gail knows some Spanish, and Dixon is learning it.  Except for Sunday, most days, they read the bible in English/Spanish for about an hour.  It's a great way to learn a language and refresh the memory of the Bible.  Dixon has studied seven languages, but all he can speak is the governor's English, as long as he is an Aggie.  Dixon is into genealogy, as were his parents.  Other family interests are Shakespeare's plays, Gilbert and Sullivan's Operettas, Marx Brothers Movies and Texas Aggie sports.  Both Dixon and Gail enjoy going to Red River Church, where Dixon plays harmonica in the band.  "Ensemble" would be more appealing.    Dixon has recently been writing poetry.   He is also interested in astronomy, physics, bridge, and chess. Dixon Long Coulbourn was his father.  Katherine Louise Wall Coulbourn was his mother.  Dixon Edge Coulbourn was Gail's and Dixon's oldest son, but he passed away in 2005.  Their two other sons are living and married, but to protect their privacy, we'll not mention the names of the living, except Gail.  They have one grandson and 3 granddaughters.
