I have been writing all my life off and on but I have only been writing professionally for about a year or two. I optioned my first short script “The Proposal” to Darrius Nelson on 3/2003, I am the associate fiction editor for Gaea’s Cauldron Magazine, and I just finished my first stand-up comedy script( It is a 45 minute stand-up routine) for Ben Benson. I hold a BA degree in Literature from the University of South Florida. I have studied Screenwriting, creative writing, psychology, criminal behavior, American Literature, British Literature, Shakespeare, drawing, and many others. I have written many short stories, short and full length screenplays, and a novella (based on the screenplay Dark Justice). I have taking short stories and turned them into screenplays and I have taken peoples ideas and turned them into screenplays. I have done an adaptation of Piers Anthony’s novel “On A Pale Horse” just to challenge myself. I have also taken the last act of Shakespeare’s tragic play “Titus” and turned it into a comedy without changing any of the dialogue. I love to challenge myself and I can take on anything in any genre.     

I have just finished my first novella it is around 25,000 words. I have also sold my first short script. In June I wrote my first standup comedy routine for Ben Benson.

I have published three books "Twisted American Fairy Tales" in 2005, "Dread" in 2008, and I have just released my newest book "Alone In The Dark" they are all available at http://stores.lulu.com/southwell
