Background:  Born in Pretoria, South Africa, hundred-and-sixty km east of Sun City.  I started writing stories for fun when I was 7, and writing and music define who I am.  After working in medical genetics for 9 years I quit my job to play and teach violin full-time and be a better mother.   (Don't know if that plan worked.  I'll find out when they are big.) I write because I must.  I wake up in the middle of the night with a scene completed in my head and I have to get up and jot it down, at least. I've played with many genres and am still not finished.  I've written school stories, children's stories, romances, fantasy (a lot of fantasy), short stories, songs and poems and surrealistic scenes, horrors and mysteries, and am currently in love with the genre of Scifi/Adventure.  All my books have some slightly romantic elements, I've made peace with that aspect of my style and stopped trying to force my characters to stop misbehaving. I feel that at all times characters have to stay believable.  This causes me to delve deeply into the psychology of each of my characters - protagonists and antagonists alike.  I also like it when a story has multiple levels, and multiple viewpoints.  To me that is closer to real life.  But the very best for me is when someone reads a book of mine and starts bubbling about it.  You can't brighten my day more than that!
