Ms. Rea-Silvia Costin, a professional engineer, presently resides in the USA. Her first book Short Stories: The Story of a Refugee was published in 1997. Thiana-AVDELA-A Macedonian Village in the NorthwesternGreece-Thiana’s NativeLand, the first book of a trilogy, was published in Nov. 2003, and Athens, thesecond book of the trilogy, in Nov. 2004. America-The Final Destination-the third book of the trilogy was released on February 13, 2006, by Publish America.
PublishAmerica released Ms. Costin’s first poetry collection Pearls on aString: Love Songs on December 16, 2006.
Ms. Costin’s poetry is published in TheBest Poems and Poets of 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2005, Celebrations of Honor, Theatreof the Mind, Colors of the Heart, Who’s Who in Poetry 2004 and 2005. Ms. Costin, a Poet Laureate, is the recipient of Editor’s Choice Award, Poetry.com, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, and the President’s Award for Lit. Excellence, Nat. Authors Registry, 2003.

Rea-Silvia Costin, an engineer with the city of Jacksonville, opens “Labours of Love” a book of poetry from Noble House. Her poem, “Love” is the first work featured in the book. Costin is a project manager on paving and drainage jobs and has published books of poetry, short stories and three small novels.
Rea Silvia Costin has two great loves in her life – her work as a paving and drainage engineer with the city of Jacksonville, and her writing.
Costin immigrated to the United States in 1981. A year earlier, she had arrived in Greece from Rumania, where she spent her first 30 years.
