I produced this poem watching the devastating fires in California
As I came to this country, many years ago
I adapted and embraced the Americans ways
Over times, this great country
faced numerous natural disasters
From the hurricanes on the east coast
to the powerful tornedos on the mid=west
from winter blizzards
to the devastating fires in California
and every time,
I noticed how Americans dealt with it
with dignity
with courage
with optimism
with hope for the better
with hard work
and I thought
what a great people Americans are
and I'm proud to be one of them
