Tending to the Inside Garden

My garden is always blooming,
Flowers, trees and bushes
All carefully selected
To bloom year around
Each one in their season

Much work and tender care
Goes to keep my garden flourish:
The hot pink azalea bushes in early spring
The red blood amaryllis at Easter time
Then, the white blossoms of the magnolia tree,
The pink and violet of the crepe myrtle trees
The explosion of colors of the bougainvillea bushes
Much work goes into keeping my blooming garden:
The dead branches need to be cut,
The weeds pulled,
The flowers’ bed nourished
And more important watered

It’s the same with my inner garden
Much work needs to be done before it’s in full bloom again
The dead relationships to be cut away
The negative feelings: jealousy, anger, envy
Need to be pulled away,
The mind to be nourished with positive thoughts
And more important watered with love

Much work needs to be done before my inner garden is in bloom again,

As I was reading this, I saw myself as a lousy gardener... wondering if I can still learn the art. Inspiring parallel.

Wonderful comparison between a garden and a life. Both need to be handled with care in order to flourish in the climate they exist in.

...a creative being in tune with the passion-seeds of own inner-garden..."digging" deeper into the meaningful energy of life...Thank you Rea-Silvia, for sharing your poetic analogy...making it easier for your reader to comprehend the concept of spiritual growth.
Very well penned.

I love the way you took the reader from your garden to your "inner garden," very well done indeed.
