I was raised in the Southeast U.S. in a large family. My older brothers were Marines in Viet Nam and were utterly changed and ultimately died as a result that war and the exposure to Agent Orange poison. I am concerned with issues of peace and social justice. My books, essays, and public speaking events reflect my strong belief that it is imperative now to raise our voices and help reclaim our Democracy and turn this nation's energies away from wars of aggression and toward compassion, justice, and right sharing of the worlds resources.

I've raised a fine daughter, and am now a proud grandmother. I live simply in an effort to reduce overuse of limited earth resources. I am volunteering in my coummunity teaching English as a Foreign Language,and I lend my support to various peace and social justice groups.
