I've been writing since I was old enough to hold a pencil (without poking my eyes out, that is). My brain is so full of stories (real and imagined) that I HAVE to write or suffer brain explosion. My first serious piece was inspired by British author Jack Higgins. After reading "The Eagle Has Landed" I knew writing was more than just words on paper. It is something that can grab the emotions and never let go.

I am the editor/owner of Scribes Valley Publishing Company in Knoxville TN. I've won top honors with stories on Zoetrope online writing workshop. Several of my works have been published both in print and online.

Sept 2004 - Won 1st Prize in Green River Writers' Humorous Short Story Contest.

Sept 2005 - My short story "The Last Giveaway Day" won 1st Honorable Mention in the 2005 Green River Writers humorous contest.

Sept 2005 My poem "The Naked Cowboy" won 3rd Honorable Mention in the Green River Writers 2005 humorous poetry contest.
