Since Lillian was a little girl growing up on the outskirts of a town of 83 in rural Missouri, she dreamed about writing and acting and moving to a "big" town. She would stand on the front porch of her farmhouse and speak to the field in front of her, pretending it was full of people eager to listen.  She still doesn't know how the dreams started since she had no TV until she was 13 and no role model. What she did know was that it was easy for her to speak in front of groups and that  she got upset  when she didn't get the biggest part in school plays and holiday events. Books were her good companions because they allowed her to dream even more. She delighted in the summer visits of the bookmobile to the country store and would persuade her dad to drive her there so she could choose her own. She always was at the head of the class, grade wise, and that led to a Curators Award at the University of Missouri where by happenstance she was able to graduate from the top journalism school in the world. Eventually she ended up in her "big" city - Chicago - where she worked at AT&T in public relations for 11 years before starting her own training, speaking and coaching company. Her dreams have come true. Today, she speaks to audiences nationwide and coaches people in building confidence, improving presentation skills and building better relationships. She is a prolific nonfiction author and still relaxes by reading and writing.
