I've been writing science fiction for twenty years and I'm not interested in far away futuristic races inhabiting gleaming space stations. I like aliens who trip over their weapons and make mistakes. Spaceships have to be dirty and constantly breaking down. And most importantly the characters have to be real, and afraid, but most of the time having fun or there wouldn't be much point in them putting themsleves in so much danger in the first place.   I also  have three separate series' of books. One is of three teenagers constantly saving this and other worlds from destruction but who must always be back in time for school, and finish their homework.Just finishing book 3.   The second is of three elderly men with serious attitude problems running rampant through space and time in a  "borrowed" time machine. In the process they manage to cause untold mayhem and provoke paradoxes galore, yet always seem to get away with it - until book three when one of them pays the ultimate price. No, not death, something far worse.   Series three concerns a supposedly real flying and man-eating monster creating death and mayhem in present day London. Naturally I've adorned it with a few extra powers. Book three of the Kongomato saga is well under way. There won't be a fourth so this one had better end in a specatularly gruesom fashion. As with Old Geezers, this is not for youngsters.   There's also a collection of short stories called A Little twist, which as the name suggests, indicates a strange little twist at the end of each.   My next novel to emerge is called The Book Of Pain and concerns a man cursed to spend eternity alive, and also in hideous agony. After more than three hundred years he discovers a way of ridding himself of the curse, but in order for that to happen he must do something unspeakably awful. Can he do it? Has his humanity been sufficiently perverted?    The Book of Pain will hit the shelves of Amazon and Smashwords in Jan 2015
