I am a 70 year old retired interventional cardiologist with extensive training in the sciences. I graduated from Georgetown College in 1963 and Georgetown Medical School in 1967. I did an straight medical internship at the University of Pittsburgh, and a medical residency at Georgetown University Hospital. I finished my medical training with a cardiology fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, GA.              I am the lead author in multiple medical articles published in key cardiology journals and I have had Letters to the Editor published in The Atlanta Constitution, The LA Times, and The Orange County Register.             The inspiration for my two published novels came to me nearly 24 years ago. In January of 1987, Rebecca Cann, a research scientist from the University of California, Berkeley, published an article in the journal Nature suggesting that the origins of the human race can be traced back 200,000 years to the birth of a lone human female in central Africa. Her children were destined to become nature’s kingpins, adding to a long list of creatures that at one time occupied that same position. Clearly the story of this woman is not evolution as described by Darwin. It was a large-scale change, occurring at a single moment in time that radically altered the nature of man’s distant relatives.     It is axiomatic that anything that happens once in the natural world must happen again. In this cosmic cycle of events, mankind will eventually be replaced as master of his world. This mysterious cycle of primacy on Earth is the premise of my novels. Among other reasons, I have written these novels because I believe that a recurring event such as the one that happened 200,000 years ago is a distinct possibility.
