I write because I can't NOT write, which I have also tried. To me, it's a GOD thing. We're all given gifts/talents and it's up to us to use them for HIS glory. To me, not using our talents is like opening a gift from a beloved friend, putting it in the closet and never  enjoying it.   I've had my fair share of rejections and disappointments, and these are the times I've quit writing in frustration, feeling like I'm pursuing the wrong plan. But these are also the times I've learned that God will build character, hone our skills, humble us, and grow our faith in Him. God is the Great Creator. If we're made in His image then He also created us to create. Some projects get published, others don't. i enjoy journaling, writing devotions, playing with words and seeing what happens. Sometimes I draw in a sketch book, tickle the ivories on a piano, and make crafts with my kids. I believe it doesn't really matter to God what we create, as long as we're using our minds and our hands or voices or whatever to create somthing. Afterall our beloved Friend gave each of us gifts that we should pull out of the closet and enjoy!
