He was born in Guatemala City, where his interest for literature began. While growing up he was involved in many activities including theatre, specially acting and also writing plays. In 1996 he published his first book of short stories called "Gotas" which was followed by various anthologies in addition of his collaboration with cultural magazines. He took a career in political science at the Uni
