While being a police officer the riots and Viet Nam War was going on. People thought we were the authority and took out there frustrations on us. They called us numerous names and the main one was PIG. The struss was unbelievable. I seen officers comit suicide, become alcholics and get divorces over this. I kept my sanity by keeping a log of the humorous calls I went on. When I got depressed I'd look at my log and think, this is not so bad. After I retired I met a college professor and he asked me. "That police job must of been interesting." I explained some of the humorous calls. He invited me to his writers group. I read some of the stores to the class and they encourage me to write a book. I now have five books written.    

Comendations for heroism and outstanding work as a police officer. All city honors in high school as a football player. While in the service made the all army team in football. Numerous gold medals while competing in swimming and racquetball in the Police and Fire games.
