Information
As a Police Officer serving during the Rhodesian Bush war, I served with a Bushman Tracker. His attitude towards the land and all that dwelt therein, set him apart from most other people. The defining word that describes this attitude is RESPECT. It was this man that encouraged me to write about the plight of the current-day Bushmen. They are being hounded by the Botswana Government, as they seek to remove the Bushmen from the Kalahari to settlement camps hundreds of miles from their traditional lands that they have occupied for more than 20,000 years. The reason ? The discovery of DIAMONDS in the Kalahari Transfrontier Game reserve.
