WEIRD RHODY by Paul Lonardo

WEIRD RHODY is a short story collection featuring five strange tales all set in Rhode Island and written by five Rhode Island authors. The anthology is a tribute to H.P. Lovecraft, the Ocean State's famed author of pulp horror.

Writer of eclectic tastes. Spinal cord injury survivor.

Background Information

Born and raised in Southern California, USA, but went to college in Washington D.C. Love the expression of ideas.  Grew up wanting to be a writer and storyteller because of the what-if factor, but recently, after sustaining an injury to my spinal cord, and the recovery process from it, I realized my true motivation for writing is the sharing of experiences. In fiction experience is shared through the use of storytelling, and the author and reader experience some sort of "adventure" together, vicariously living through characters.  In non-fiction, what is shared is knowledge, ideas, and or experiences. Although I had always liked biographies, I wasn't much on memoirs, until I wrote one myself.  Now, I love memoirs.  Writing them allows me to share my experience with readers, and as a reader, I love being invited into the lives of others.  I haven't published fiction since 2010, but plan to again in 2015, but I hope that my fiction writing, going forward, would be like a memoir - that is the characters are sharing a period of their lives with the readers, and author and reader get to share it together.
