I am an Afro-American educator and author who grew up on the Southside of Chicago during the 70's. I graduated from Wendell Phillips in 1975; and 4 years later, I graduated from Illinois State University, 1980, and many years later, I completed my two Masters' degrees in Bilingual Education and in School Leadership, 1996 and 2006.

Accomplishments
I am a life-long bilingual educator with two Masters' degrees in Bilingual Education and in School Leadership. My BA degree is in Secondary Spanish Education. In addition, I have taught for over 25 years as a bilingual specialist for the Chicago Public Schools, and I have passed the principal's exam for the state of Illinois. Furthermore, I have traveled to Mexico twice in my career, and I plan on traveling to Puerto Rico in the near future. In addition, I have a published author of 3 books: Between Two Worlds, 2003, Trust No Man, 2011, and my latest children's book, entitled La Bellisima Ciudad (The Most Beautiful City was published in 2016. I really enjoy teaching the Spanish language and I have received numerous honors and certificates.
