Jennifer has always loved words. As a child, she read Dr. Seuss and Shel Silverstein, reciting their humorous rhymes to amuse herself, indulging in the sound of their words and the rhythm of their verses. She continued reading poetry, exploring the works of classic poets, but often felt herself more drawn to the poems she had read in her childhood. She realised that the simplicity of the language was the reason why she was enamoured of these children's rhymes. Now she writes poetry, experimenting with words as a way of making sense of the world. She believes in the beauty of simplicity, and hence she tries to convey her ideas (even the "grown-up" ones) using simple, uncomplicated language. She wants to make poetry accessible to the masses in the hope that one day, everyone can enjoy poems the way she does.
