I've wanted to be a writer since the age of 5, when I discovered making things up could actually be a job. I wrote my first screenplay at 13, my first novel at 15 and have experimented with everything from children's writing to journalism. My journey to writing audio-drama began when a lecturer on my MA course told me I couldn't write for radio because it was "too hard". Intrigued and fired up by the idea of a challenge, I wrote my first radio play and fell in love with the form. I've always been fascinated by actors, too, and love working in a discipline that relies heavily on writers' and actors' joint skills.
