I was born in Windsor, On. Canada to a Canadian bricklayer and an Americanhousewife.  I was the first of three girls, but middle of five kids total in my family.  With my dad's job, we moved around quite a lot making it very difficult for me tostay in one school for long or even to make any friends.  With my lack of companions and my excess of books I thrived inside my own imagination, delving deeply into the world of books.   School was quite easy for me and I zoomed through each year with little assistance, my love for books helped me greatly.  When I was 15 my parents moved us up to kapuskasing, On. where I met my future husband and 3 years later we had our first baby, with our second baby following the next year after.  Being a teen mother definitely was tough and my dreams of being a writer fell through the cracks.  I took up small jobs here and there along the way, first I worked with the mentally and physically handicapped, then I worked in a small restaurant until I found my second calling; a telemarketer.  My first telemarketing job was selling Craftmatic beds and then it was on to credit cards and memberships before we moved to Sault Ste Marie, On. for a safe place to raise our kids.  There I found NuComm and launched a five year career as a telemarketer/customer service rep.  Last year I started working on 'Misery's Companion' in my spare time, but with work, kids and a husband, the time was quite limited.  After years of sitting at a desk, answering calls and assisting clients I finally threw the hat in and NuComm and I parted ways leaving me ample time to work on 'Misery's Companion'.  Three months ago I wrote the last word, ending my year long commitment to the book, it was a sad day, but the beginning of a long road I knew I had to continue on and now months later 'Misery's Companion' has been put to print.  After being a former high school drop out, teen mom and telemarketer, I finally achieved a dream I had had since I was 8, I wrote a book and had it published. Every word I wrote, I felt in my heart, everything my characters went through in my book, I went through and I can only hope that everyone who reads 'Misery's Companion' will enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
