Throughout my life I have loved reading and telling stories, but I have always shied away from writing. Writing, from a technical standpoint, was not one of my strengths. A truth my teachers never hesitated to comment on. The one short story I wrote in School for an English assignment almost got me suspended because I dared to write about two teenagers in love and the passion they felt and experienced. This story was by no means 'explicit', but I guess it may have been a bit too suggestive. After that episode, other than papers in college, I gave up on the thought of becoming a writer. Then I met Jeanne Treat. She is the amazing author of the Dark Birthright Trilogy. She is a very giving person and fortunately for me, she believed that I had interesting stories to tell and encouraged me to put them down on paper. At first I just dipped in my toe and started with a few short stories. That led her to challenge me to write a longer piece... a novel of sorts. That challenge turned into A Glimpse of Heaven. No Bio would be complete without mentioning the support and patience of my loving wife, who puts up with my incessant need to discuss my progress on various stories I am working on. She has also graciously agreed to take on editing duties. If someone asked me to catagorize my writing, I would say that I am inspired by the spiritual, my search for truth and my belief that there is more to this life than what we physically experience. My greatest achievement is being part of a team that brought three wonderful and loving children into this world.
