Born in Sri Lanka, once known as the 'pearl of the Indian Ocean, and 'The Isle of Paradise,' is today torn with war and stife between two etnic groups. This motivated me to work for peace,and begin it at the grassroots level of the child.Mahatma Gandhi, Vinoba Bave,Mother Theresa, maria Montessori and many others working for world peace had a great influence on me. I started with a website for story telling for children,wwwfunchildsbooks.com and later started a Blog Titled Promte Peace and Peace Education and working on these reaching out to children and people interested in the endeavor.
