Information
Judith E. Vido lives in Richmond, Virginia and grew up in the rural outskirts of the city. Diagnosed with juvenile diabetes at age eight she became blind from its side effects before her twentieth birthday. After extensive rehabilitation training and the acquisition of a Seeing Eye Dog she attained a bachelors degree in Psychology and a graduate degree in clinical social work from the Virginia Commonwealth University. She has worked as a peer counsellor with blind diabetics and run a group for substance abusers. Currently she advocates for persons with disabilities in Richmond and is one of the performing soloists with the Senior connections choral Group.
