I grew up in the Mission District of San Francisco. I've worked in theatre and had a play, "Letters From Rebecca," broadcast by NPR's Playhouse. I have published numerous plays and articles and an Irish American memoir called "Confessions of a Shanty Irishman." I have two books out since, including a thriller called Byron.

Beckett, Chekhov, Bob Dylan, Faulkner,Hemingway Keats, Eliot, Yeats and Little Richard were influences. Thomas Pynchon is another admired author. Sylvia Plath is a great poet. I worked one summer with playwright, Sam Shepard. There are too many important authors to name, really.
Accomplishments
An Irish critic named Confessions of a Shanty Irishman a book of the week. It got a favorable review in the San Francisco Chronicle. I was nominated for a Pushcart Prize for the short Story, "Free Fall." A play called Letters from Rebecca was broadcast on NPR.
