Writing is a gift that is priceless when you are able to touch someone's life in a positive way.  I write Poetry and I enjoy it because you analyze and portray words eloquently inorder to communicate a message.  Poetry is beautiful and I remember as a kid learning lots of poems and being able to recite and dramatize them.  Time does fly for sure....LOL. I am a mother and I can relate with experiences of reading with kids. It is critical to start early and most importantly pick books that spark interest in young readers. I am a firm believer in reading and letting your child retell the story. This encourages retention and creativity in the eyes of the child.
