At one point during my CIA career, I worked in a position similar to that of the job held by Dave Reed, the protagonist in Modify Destiny. I grew up in Central Florida, but moved to the Washington, D.C. area, following four years of service with the U.S. Air Force. Hired on as a mail-room clerk, I worked my way up at the CIA to become a mid-level manager in an IT office. After leaving the CIA, I worked seven years as a technology consultant for the Hewlett-Packard Company.

I once took my mother and an aunt on a two-week road trip through seven U.S. Western States. In addition to visiting 40 of the 48 contiguous states, I've traveled to Thailand, Puerto Rico, Canada, Ireland, and several other countries in Western Europe. I've traced my ancestry back to Ireland during the late 1600s, and update my detailed family tree almost daily. I still live in the Washington, D.C. area (Fairfax, Virginia), where I am currently mulling over ideas for a Modify Destiny sequel.
