DJ Corchin is an author and illustrator of many children’s books. He uses his unique humor and wit to focus on socially conscious messages involving kindness and emotional awareness. A two-time winner for the International Literary Classic Awards, DJ has both illustrated his own stories as well as worked with other talented artists such as award winning illustrator and writer, Dan Dougherty. A former featured performer in the Tony & Emmy Award winning show BLAST! (best known as the unicycling trombonist) DJ was able to travel the world and speak to kids from all walks of life. His love of working with kids helped him to become a high school band director in the suburbs of Chicago. Leaving teaching to pursue a writing career, he stays close to music education by advocating through The 13th Chair, his highly popular alter ego and music ed advocacy brand.  He has published over 15 titles on his own where his award winning I Feel...Children’s Series has sold over 10k copies worldwide and the Band Nerds Book Series over 15k. DJ has a degree in Music Education from DePaul University and currently lives and works in Chicago with his wife Jessica, daughter Grae, son Alfie, and long time plant, Josh. For more info on all of DJ's books visit www.djcorchin.com
