I am the proud mother of four fabulous Children,plus,I recently became a granny for the fifth time.I love art and writing poetry (but have been taking a break from writing for a while now ) I have several of my poems published but I still have not managed to put a book together.I love reading poetry and I love being a member of this site and several other poetry sites. I love reading ALL of your poetry (Authorsden) and am grateful to many of the poets on this site for their support comments and friendship.I wont always comment,but I do always read.Thanks for stopping by and reading my poems too. 

Accomplishments
Published in the National Indigenous Times under my pen name of The Blue Wattle. Been published in magazines and 'Wordchimes' Book. I have had commendation in the Henry Lawson Poetry competition and commendation for my story in the Riverfest writing comp. I also have one of my poems published in The National Indigenous Times.Many of my protest pieces have been published in our local newspaper under Letters to the editor most of these are supporting environmental issues...I have worked for the red cross as a volunteer and for lifeline as a phone counselor.I have been a Honorary Park Ranger for Ipswich council and in that voluntary role have written many reports to them on local environmental issues which sought my attention. Presently I have been supporting The Green Party helping them out on election day and trying my hardest to support them and Bob Brown in their strive to protect the environment and ideal of equality for all. I have been a past member of Greenpeace and I still support their ideas.I believe the world belongs to us all equally and therefore I am presently doing all I can to support refugees. The only awards (apart from commendations) I have are my children (adults now)and the fact that one of my girls (JO) has received an Australian Government environmental award so that makes me so proud...that to me is award enough. I also have managed to collect 100's of signatures for a petitions to have pedestrian crossings installed near a school in a hazardous road area (Leumeah NSW) and by doing this succeeded in having safety crossings installed by local council to protect young children.
I have also worked as a volunteer in aged care home mainly doing hand massage and hand care for them and I am an avid supporter of caring for the rights of the elderly (this cause was my trigger for becoming 'a Green' and supporter of Bob Brown former leader of the Australian Green Party)who is a champion for those too weak or impaired or discriminated against to fight for themselves.

I believe anything can be achieved by the power of the written word,it truly is 'stronger than the sword.' I have written poems defending the rights of people and pointing out the plights of our Australian Indigenous people. My words were published in their newspaper The National Indigenous Times,since I am not an Aboriginal,this publication was a very great honour for me. My sweetest achievement is to have made friends with other poets,namely Steve Ralph who I believe is one of the wittiest story-telling poets around today.I love his poetry.So many other awesome poets on Authorsden and other poetry sites too have taken me under their wings and helped me with my writing.They are so cool and definitely a pretty cool achievement to mix in their circle.I believe All and any of my achievements are due to God's love, and my belief in his love of me and of us all.My goal? To really help someone who is struggling in life.If my writing could help only one person that would be my best achievement of all.
