I grew up in the Louis H. Pink Housing Projects in Brooklyn, New York.  I now live in Upstate New York which has been my home for the past 23 years.  I have been writing for over 35 years.  I am a member of the Broome/Tioga Branch NAACP, National Council Of Negro Women (NCNW) Semper Fidelis Sectional, International Society Of Poets and a freelance writer for the Press & Sun Bulletin Newspaper.  I am president and Group Organizer of The Binghamton Poetry and Writer's Group.  I participate yearly at the Albany Word Festival and I perform in Open Mikes and Spoken Events throughout New York State.  I am a divorced mother of daughter Mercedes who is the love of my live.  I love reading, writing, cooking and spending time with my daughter.  My first book of Poetry "My Wave Of Words" was published by Rosedog books.  My new book of Poetry "Poetic Climb" was published by Authorhouse in 2006.
