My background is in advertising, but I've always loved to write stories. Five years ago, I decided to take my novel writing seriously and attended a West Texas A & M University Writers' Academy in Canyon sponsored by award-winning author Jodi Thomas. The conference gave me the knowledge, connections and tools I needed to push my writing to the next level. I am forever thankful.
