My father, Dr. Richard Ireland, was a renowned mid-twentieth-century psychic-medium. While I honored my father’s memory, my own path followed a more conventional trajectory in pursuit of mainstream success—even while recognizing that my life was becoming "comfortably numb." The unexpected death of my youngest son Brandon wrenched me out of my normal state and plunged me back into the world of my father—the world of psychics and mediums—in an attempt to contact my deceased loved ones. My story is one of a father's unbearable loss and personal journey, offering hope to the bereaved—providing compelling evidence that death is not the end of our existence. I have participated in “consciousness survival” research experiments, collaborating with respected scientists including theorist Dr. Don Watson, co-developer of TES (Theory of Enformed Systems) and Tricia Robertson of the Scottish Society of Psychical Research. I contributed an essay to medium Allison Dubois’ best-selling book, We Are Their Heaven.  

My first book, Soul Shift, was released in July, 2008. In early 2011 I was able to publish my father's previously unreleased title, Your Psychic Potential: A Guide to Psychic Development. My second book, Messages from the Afterlife, was published on December 10, 2013.
