I am a Paraprofessional for Special Education, I am currently getting my BA in Elementary Education.  My influences in writing started with JK Rowling when I took a Children's LIterature class.  My biggest influence to get published was an author I met on Authornation and she is also on The Writer's Box.  She has been my mentor. Another influence is Stephanie Meyer, her books are tremendous.  My novel was inspired after I had read her 4 novels. I am a published author with short stories published in Mississippi Crow Magazine, www.mississippicrow.com and poems published in Episodes of the Norm, www.episodesofthenorm.com .  I have currently taken on the job as an illustrator and have finished illustrating my own children's book as well as another author. My artwork will be published in Mississippi Crow Magazine in the 9th issue and also in The Shine Journal. With the first volume of Birthright published, its second volume, The Legacy, is now published. Kane, its third and final volume will be out the end of this year.
I was recently hired as artist for Barking Rain Press, designing book covers and I was hired as an illustrator for author, Patricia Kieta.
