Murry Handler began his art training in New York City after his discharge from the Navy. He studied under Joseph Kelly at Pratt and Joseph Hirsch at the Workshop School and developed professional advertising and graphic design skills at Franklin Institute of Art. He opened his own design studio in the 1980s, which grew to include a staff of 14 artists and illustrators. Murry's art direction and design frequently won national awards for his clients.
