Learned to sail on San Francisco Bay in the '60s and never looked back after delivering a 50' sailboat to the Virgin Islands from the West Coast.

In the British Virgin Islands, I met Fritz Seyfarth; a wonderful man and noted author. He recommended I write and become the "Gonzo" sailing writer - I haven't lived up to that standard but hope springs eternal.

Afterf a few destination peices for sailing magazines, I subsequently sailed the South Pacific which prompted my first book.
