I am a former New Orleans prosecutor and a current appellate public defender. My novel, Gumbo Justice, features a prosecutor, and my experience at the D.A.'s Office is primarily what I drew upon for the novel.
I am also a former CanCan girl, having worked my way through undergrad as a Drama major at the now defunct Can Can Cabaret on Bourbon Street in the Royal Sonesta Hotel. It's not as bad as it sounds- it was a fun family show with no nudity.
