Melissa Joy Anderson credits the start of her writing career to authors Patricia Reilly Giff and Judy Blume. She was intrigued with both authors at such a young age. She then went on to adapt to the writings of authors such as Eric Jerome Dickey, Mary Monroe,, and Omar Tyree to name a few. She has always been an avid reader so writing just came natural to her.
