Simone Mimbs was raised in Los Angeles CA with her great grandmother. She attended all the local schools until she was bused to Vannuys High to escape the crime of the inner city. After high school she attended Southwest College, where she found her passion for writing, and she knew then that she wanted to write books, both fiction and non-fiction.
