Simone Mimbs was raised in Los Angeles CA with her great grandmother. She attended all the local schools until she was bused to Vannuys High to escape the crime of the inner city. After high school she attended Southwest College, where she found her passion for writing, and she knew then that she wanted to write books, both fiction and non-fiction. She is currently married with five children, and lives in Virginia. Although her husband is in the military, she finds her household to be quite humorous. With so many kids she developed a love for children's books, particularly with a four year old who loves to read. She wanted to make books that kids could easily associate with and also try to read by themselves by identifying the pictures, she also writes Christian inspirational.
