I was born and brought up in a culturally rich Meru community in Kenya. This motivated me to research on culture, resulting to the publication of my book 'FASIHI SIMULIZI NA UTAMADUNI' (Oral literature and culture), which was published by Jomo Kenyatta Foundation in 2008. This is a text currently being used in secondary schools and universities in Kenya, Tanzania and the US. I have also written two other books, namely MIALE YA MASHARIKI (RAYS FROM THE EAST) on Kiswahili poetry and ENCOUNTER WITH MPENJA, a collection of children's stories which i am sourcing for a publisher.
