As a journalist I worked for a variety of newspapers in the UK and elsewhere travelling widely and covering everything from wars to conferences and celebrations.
I was one of the main contributors to A Chronicle Of The 20th Century, a popular history of the century and for my sins once even ghost wrote a book on the history of Finland for a Norwegian academic. The Finnish Government went and took a bulk order to give to visiting dignitaries.
