Jason Beil grew up near Harrisburg, PA under the influence of dangerous things like comic books, Dungeons and Dragons, fantasy novels, rock music, and Star Wars movies.  At the age of twelve he read The Lord of the Rings, which became his favorite book and a major influence on his thinking and future writing.

While always interested in writing, Beil became more involved in music as he grew older, culminating with a degree in music from Millersville University of Pennsylvania.  He had a brief acting career, and then returned to his first love, writing.
